Today, North Carolina Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson announced his candidacy for Governor of the Tar Heel state. The Trump-loving, job-skipping, anti-choice, transphobic candidate is vying to take back the state house despite a record that flies in the face of North Carolinian values.
Here’s just a small sampling of who Mark Robinson is:

Robinson is one of Donald Trump’s biggest fans, giving the former president cover for the January 6th insurrection and criticizing the charges brought against Trump in New York for trying to silence a sex worker.

Robinson has been an absentee lieutenant governor, sending staff to the State Board of Education meetings he is supposed to attend, as well as having senior level staff fetch him lunch.

Robinson said that as governor he wants the law to be that “you can’t have an abortion in North Carolina for any reason.” because abortion is “murder.”

Robinson called LGBTQ+ people “filth” and that he wanted to ban marriage equality, saying “marriage is between one man and one woman.”
