Supreme Court Puts Massive Spotlight on Senate GOP’s Votes To Take Health Care Away From Millions

Mar 02, 2020

In response to the Supreme Court announcing it will hear oral arguments on the latest Republican lawsuit to overturn the Affordable Care Act, American Bridge spokesperson Zach Hudson released the following statement:

“The Supreme Court just put a massive spotlight on Republican Senate candidates’ toxic records on health care and that should terrify Mitch McConnell ahead of November. Susan Collins, Joni Ernst, Martha McSally, Thom Tillis, and Cory Gardner have all repeatedly voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act and its protections for Americans with pre-existing conditions, and these same Republicans paved the way for this junk lawsuit that now threatens the health care of millions of Americans this year.

“Health care was always going to be on the ballot in 2020, but the Supreme Court just made sure that this will be front and center in every targeted Senate race across the map. That’s bad news for Republicans who remain hell bent on kicking millions off of their insurance and making health care more expensive.”
