Congressman Greg Gianforte lied (again) about his previous support for a state sales tax while speaking to the Montana Ambassadors on August 12. Earlier this summer, Gianforte lied to his constituents about his support for a sales tax during a tele-town hall on July 1.
“If Greg Gianforte thinks he can blatantly lie to Montanans, he has another thing coming this November,” said Katie Parrish, spokesperson at American Bridge 21st Century. “Gianforte’s support for a sales tax is well documented. He wanted to replace the state’s capital gains tax with a sales tax to benefit millionaires like him, calling it the ‘ideal solution.’”
