On what should be the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, American Bridge 21st Century is reminding voters of Donald Trump’s effort as president to overturn Roe v. Wade and rip away reproductive rights from millions of Americans.
During his first campaign for president, Donald Trump courted anti-abortion rights activists and promised to appoint anti-abortion rights judges to the Supreme Court who would overturn Roe. Today, American Bridge is launching a series of videos that confirm Trump’s anti-abortion rights record through his own words.
According to the Washington Post, Trump’s successful overturn of Roe helped build “an enormous amount of trust” with anti-abortion groups who look forward to even more restrictions on reproductive health care during a second Trump administration.
“In Iowa, Donald Trump ran ads touting his role in striking down Roe v. Wade. Last week, the Republican electorate rewarded him with a historic caucus victory. Trump is the face of the anti-abortion rights movement in the United States, and we’re going to make sure there is no doubt about that when voters go to the polls in November,” said American Bridge 21st Century Communications Director of Presidential Campaigns Brandon Weathersby.
