American Bridge spokesperson Andrew Bates issued the following statement after Donald Trump’s latest colossal failure at negotiating – with his own party (again):
“Donald Trump is hell-bent on taking health insurance away from 26 million people just to cut taxes for a few millionaires. But thankfully for the country, he’s a disastrous negotiator and can’t get anything done. His latest “plan” centered around gutting coverage for pre-existing conditions and essential health benefits and would’ve been even more devastating for the public – so its failure is more good news. Those who would’ve been hurt the most by these reckless policies were many of Trump’s own supporters – further proving that his populist rhetoric was all a lie.”
