Donald Trump isn’t the only candidate in a 2016 race that Sarah Palin has put her stamp of approval on. Back in 2010, she also endorsed Pat Toomey’s senate run.
While it’s still to be seen just how willing Toomey is to “go rogue,” he has refused to distance himself from Trump’s candidacy despite the businessman’s offensive rhetoric. He even said, “I understand it,” when asked about how Trump is resonating.
Palin endorsed Trump because of his extreme and divisive policies — the same far-right values she liked in Toomey.
