WATCH: 'Putting a Wife to Work Is a Very Dangerous Thing'

Donald Trump, in a 1994 interview with ABC News, spoke at length about his personal life. As could be expected from the man who has called women “degenerates,” “slobs” and “pigs,” the revelations were disturbing.

Donald Trump, never having been celebrated for his monogamy, said the he was unsure if he would carry on his affair if Ivana and Marla had not confronted one another in Aspen. In a less than artful turn of phrase, Trump compared the process of turning his partners into “stars” to building buildings.

Reflecting more deeply on domestic life, Trump (while carefully avoiding “sounding like a chauvinist) revealed that he didn’t want Marla Maples to work because if he gets home and dinner isn’t ready he, “goes through the roof.” Perhaps the need for a timely dinner for Donald is one of many reasons, “Putting a wife to work is a dangerous thing.
