Voters Deserve To Know If McCrory And Burr Are Casting Their Ballots For Trump

Mar 14, 2016

Governor Pat McCrory and Senator Richard Burr need to come clean about who they are supporting in tomorrow’s primary. Recently, Donald Trump’s incendiary rhetoric has turned into actual violence at rallies across the country, including in Fayetteville, North Carolina where a Trump supporter “sucker-punched” a protester last Wednesday.

Burr and McCrory have failed to denounce the Republican frontrunner and appear poised to embrace him in the fall. The senator has even praised the demagogue saying he “has done a tremendous job” and that Trump brings “a level of passion to running for office that I’m delighted to see.” At the same time, McCrory has been suggested as a potential veep for the Trump ticket and stood by his pledge to support him as the GOP nominee.

The stakes have never been higher for North Carolina or the country. Voters deserve to know if Governor McCrory and Senator Burr are casting their ballots for Trump’s xenophobic and divisive policies.
