The National Republican Senatorial Committee’s newly minted Donald Trump koozies are being hocked to fund raise on behalf of their slate of Senate candidates for 2016, including CURRENT presidential candidate Senator Rand Paul.
“In a twist you’d only see in the 2016 Republican primary, Senator Rand Paul could be in a position that he not only votes for Donald Trump but he also gets a campaign boost from the hateful, divisive rhetoric of his current primary presidential opponent. Rand might be talking trash to Trump now, but when reality sets in and he gets back to his Senate race the NRSC will have a war chest from Trump’s face on swag,” said Jessica Mackler, president of American Bridge 21st Century. “Voters are already learning that Trump and Rand aren’t all that different, including legislation Sen. Paul introduced that he called similar to Trump’s Muslim ban. The Trump-Rand agenda will hurt Kentucky students, seniors, and families. Just like the NRSC koozie says, Sen. Rand Paul’s policies show he’s ‘with Trump.'”
