Ted Cruz had a lot of hot rhetoric on the CNN stage tonight about destroying ISIS and toppling Assad in Syria, but he failed to mention the specifics he’s outlined previously. After Donald Trump, there is perhaps no other Republican that has given ISIS more content for their propaganda than Ted Cruz. Ignoring the Geneva Convention rules, Cruz has called for indiscriminate carpet bombing of the Middle East until the sand is “glow in the dark.”
Cruz also proposed a bill mirroring Trump’s anti-Muslim policies that would have banned Syrian Muslims from entering the United States and voted against rejecting Donald Trump’s ban on Muslims.
Cruz is doing his best to prove that he too can lead the Republican Party in fear-mongering and divisive rhetoric.
