Today White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer doubled-down on the success of the raid in Yemen even though the preparation and the results have drawn criticism from Republicans and national security experts. Spicer went so far to say that anyone who criticizes the raid does a disservice to the slain Navy SEAL officer, even Chairman of the Armed Services Committee Senator John McCain, and demanded he apologize.
“With Yemen withdrawing permission for the U.S. to conduct counterterrorism ground missions, the escape of the main al-Qaeda target and the death of a Navy Seal and civilians – how does the Trump administration continue to justify this mission as a success?” questioned American Bridge Vice President Shripal Shah.
