Rex Tillerson Is Off To A Rocky Start

Feb 23, 2017

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is off to a rocky start in his new job. It has been over a month since the State Department has held a press briefing, a daily event that is watched closely around the world. Donald Trump has completely sidelined Tillerson who has been notably absent from high-level meeting with foreign leaders, including the Japanese Prime Minister and the Israeli Prime Minister. And in an attempt to soothe over diplomatic relations with Mexico, Tillerson’s visit has been met with hostility from Mexican Foreign Minister saying that Mexico will not accept measures imposed by the U.S.
