"[Obama's] The Founder Of ISIS": More Pro-Putin Talking Points From Trump

Aug 11, 2016

First, Trump started using Russian talking points on Crimea, arguing that Russia never invaded Ukraine and, even if they did, the “people of Crimea…would rather be with Russia.” Now, Trump’s co-opted a much more cynical and irresponsible Russian talking point: that President Obama somehow “founded” ISIS.

Trump isn’t backing away from his wildly irresponsible characterization of the president as the “founder of ISIS,” if his Hugh Hewitt interview from this morning is to be believed. Apparently, pro-Russia talking points are the only ones Trump’s able to stick to with any consistency.

It’s no wonder he’s winning over the Russian people.
