“Promises made, promises broken. That’s the Mike Lawler way,” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Monica Venzke. “ First, he blamed it on Republicans’ six-week government shutdown, and then he tried to gaslight New Yorkers into thinking the project was back on track. Now he’s out of scapegoats, but it doesn’t look like he’s willing to take accountability for his failure anytime soon.”
