This morning, The Hill reported that a fundraiser for Nevada Senate candidate Sam Brown will have a very special guest: Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell – someone Brown once detested but is now embracing for transparent political (and fundraising) reasons.
In response to Brown’s fundraiser with McConnell, American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Sarah Abel released the following statement:
“‘If we trust Mitch McConnell, well then, well, I’m sorry for you, but I don’t,’ said Sam Brown.”
When Brown ran for Senate in 2022, he lost to Adam Laxalt in the GOP primary. Throughout the primary, Brown attacked Laxalt for being endorsed by the Republican establishment and the very same people he is now embracing this time around.
