ICYMI: Garrity Bumps PA Business Leaders for RFK Jr. Photo-Op

Feb 13, 2026

New reporting in Spotlight PA’s Access Harrisburg Newsletter highlights a revealing choice by Republican gubernatorial candidate Stacy Garrity: she canceled a scheduled virtual address to a Pittsburgh neighborhood chamber of commerce because she was “asked, in an official capacity,” to attend an event featuring HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. during his “Take Back Your Health” tour.

A day later, Garrity’s campaign posted a photo of Garrity with Kennedy—then removed the post, raising questions about the use of official time and why the campaign felt compelled to clean up the public record.

This event highlights a troubling trend with Garrity. Her race for Governor seems to be more about playing to Trump and his cronies and less about serving the people of Pennsylvania.

Garrity also:

  • Supported Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill,” which could trigger nearly $500 billion in cuts to Medicare.

  • Opposed Pennsylvania’s lawsuit against the Trump administration seeking to restore $13 million in federal funding for Pennsylvania farmers and food banks, and claimed too many Pennsylvanians were receiving SNAP assistance.

  • And said she would cooperate with Trump to “take over the voting” in Pennsylvania and nationalize our elections.
