Just a week after Donald Trump was a “specal guest” at a Republican Party of Pennsylvania fundraiser benefiting Pat Toomey, the PA senator today gave the GOP front-runner a shout-out on Christ Stigall’s radio show.
Here’s what Toomey had to say in response to the host’s assertion that “Trump is speaking in a way that really resonates.”:
He’s speaking to an anxiety, a frustration and anger — it’s a combination of fear about security. But also there’s the economic anxiety of people who have been living paycheck to paycheck, and they haven’t seen their circumstances get better and they don’t feel like Washington is responding to their situation. So, I understand it.
It sure looks like Pat Toomey’s among the 23.6% of Pennsylvania GOP voters who support Trump.
