If the highest ranking elected Republican in the United States can do it, why can’t Senator Ron Johnson? Today, Speaker Paul Ryan rebuffed Donald Trump as the GOP nominee.
“While it remains to be seen if the speaker will join the droves of #EventuallyTrump Republicans, Ryan made one thing clear: it’s not that hard to denounce Donald Trump,” said American Bridge President Jessica Mackler. “Earlier today, Senator Ron Johnson teamed up with Ryan on the campaign trail, but don’t expect him to team up against Trump. Johnson has made it perfectly clear: he’s all in for the Ronald and the Donald. He’ll never recognize Trump for what he really is: a xenophobic bigot whose policies put our democracy in jeopardy.”
