Not for the first time, Congressman Joe Heck and his House GOP colleagues last night voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act and defund Planned Parenthood. (And not for the first time, they failed.)
For some reason, Heck has decided to stake his 2016 run on pledging to limit women’s healthcare options and promising to take away millions of Americans’ access to quality, affordable healthcare.
Heck and his GOP allies’ wash, rinse, and repeat attempts to “repeal and replace Obamacare” are all repeal and no replace. It’s partisan posturing with very real consequences for millions — including not just stripping away quality, affordable coverage, but also returning those with pre-existing conditions to a disadvantaged status that costs more and limits their health care.
Rep. Joe Heck yet again chose to vote with Washington Republicans over the best interests of Nevadans.
