Less than a week to Iowa and only two weeks to New Hampshire has the GOP infighting at Red Wedding levels, and the Republican establishment appears to be on the cusp of going the way of Game of Thrones.
GOP elders are blaming Marco Rubio, Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, and John Kasich for allowing the rise of Ted Cruz and Donald Trump
while they continue battling for the establishment crown.
Now, in a last ditch effort, party leaders are heeding the advice of Scott Walker from his September drop-out speech by hoping that some of the lower tier candidates will sacrifice themselves to prevent Trump or Cruz from sailing to the nomination. Unsurprisingly, it’s more unclear than ever which candidate would ever choose the good of the party over themselves.
