Day After SCOTUS Announcement, Spicer Still Has Plenty To Clean Up

Feb 01, 2017

Last night the White House executed a suspenseful reality TV style announcement of Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch. However, as White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer takes the podium today he will not have theatrics to distract from answering pressing questions about the Trump administration’s controversial policies.

American Bridge Vice President Shripal Shah calls on Spicer to answer the following questions:

  1. What role did Eric and Don Jr. play in their father’s selecting Judge Gorsuch as their presence at the announcement suggests? Why were they there when they are supposed to be behind a firewall running the Trump businesses?
  2. Why did President Trump reverse his pledge to negotiate drug prices immediately following his meeting with Big Pharma and accepting $1 million from Pfizer?
  3. This morning President Trump tweeted that the Muslim ban is aimed at keeping “bad people (with bad intentions)” out of the country.  How does this include the Iraqi parents of a badly burned one year-old boy about to undergo surgery in Boston?
  4. Was the cybersecurity executive order delay due to President Trump and top aides’ use of personal social media and email accounts on unsecured devices?
  5. Is President Trump really planning to sign an executive order making legal immigrants eligible for deportation after five years in the United States if they use public resources such as food stamps and Medicaid?
