American Bridge President Jessica Mackler released the following statement on Speaker Paul Ryan supporting Donald Trump even as he calls him the “textbook definition of racism.”
“I will never understand how Paul Ryan can both acknowledge Donald Trump is racist and still support him. It’s been clear for a lot longer than this weekend that Trump is racist but the fact that Republicans are explicitly and openly supporting a racist tells you everything you need to know about the Republican Party.”
