Following the announcement that out-of-state multimillionaire Tim Sheehy is entering the ugly Montana Republican U.S. Senate primary, American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Aidan Johnson released the following statement:
“Tim Sheehy’s entry into the Montana Republican primary has set the stage for a bruising and expensive race to the far right. Contrary to the belief of Washington insiders at the NRSC, voters cannot be bought, and Montanans won’t be fooled by a MAGA multimillionaire carpetbagger playing cowboy who is hell-bent on taking away the freedoms treasured in the Treasure State.”
In the last few months, Sheehy has bolstered his MAGA credentials by criticizing the Supreme Court’s ruling protecting medication abortion and by comparing abortion to murder. He has also declared his full support for Trump in the 2024 election, saying he is “100%” behind the former president — despite not voting for him in the 2016 primary.
