“Ron Johnson, Marco Rubio, and nearly every other Senate Republican put their loyalty to Donald Trump ahead of the rule of law, the Capitol police officers who protect them every day, and the oaths they swore to uphold the Constitution. They also made it more likely a future Republican President will again attempt to use violence to hold onto power after losing an election. History will remember these spineless sycophants for abandoning their constitutional duties and voting to protect Donald Trump from being held accountable for inciting a violent insurrection against the United States.”
