McSally: “Go work at WalMart if you want to do that”

In the aftermath of this morning’s devastating report on Martha McSally’s comments from 2007 about women in the military getting pregnant to avoid deployment, American Bridge 21st Century is launching a new ad in Arizona today. The digital ad begins running statewide in Arizona starting this afternoon, and is targeted to suburban women. The ad features Martha McSally in her own words making disparaging comments about women in the military starting families to avoid deployment, saying women should “go work at WalMart” if they want to get pregnant.

“Martha McSally’s comments that women serving in the military should ‘go work at WalMart’ if they want to start a family are outrageous and completely disqualify her from representing Arizona in the Senate,” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Zach Hudson. “When Arizona voters reject McSally for the second time in two years this November, she’ll have no one to blame but herself.”
