With Trump all but clinching the GOP nomination after winning the Indiana primary, American Bridge 21st Century President Jessica Mackler released the following statement on Kelly Ayotte’s position in the #PartyOfTrump:
“This cycle we’ve seen Kelly Ayotte attempt to re-write her record and grow ‘visibly agitated’ when questioned about it, but that’s not all Ayotte’s got to be ‘visibly agitated’ about today. Not only has the Donald considered Kelly Ayotte as a potential VP pick, she’s repeatedly supported Trump if he was to become the GOP nomination. Today, Ayotte doubled down on her support of Trump, and the record she’s tried to rewrite — including overturning Roe v. Wade, siding with billionaires over Granite State families, and obstructing the appointment of a Supreme Court nominee.”
- New Hampshire Senator Kelly Ayotte called Donald Trump’s candidacy “a positive thing.” She’s refused to condemn Trump’s candidacy, though offered many chances to go on the record against the demagogue. In a radio interview, Ayotte also seemed to say she would support whoever won New Hampshire.
