A1 Coverage of CBO Score Gives GOP Another Reason to Oppose Trumpcare

Jun 27, 2017

Yesterday the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office found that the Senate Trumpcare bill would force more than 20 million people to lose their insurance, cripple the Affordable Care Act’s protections for people with preexisting conditions by undermining the coverage of essential health benefits like hospitalization, threaten the quality of employer-based plans, and price most working Americans out of even buying health insurance.
Front pages across the country put CBO’s report front and center today, and below are examples of how these devastating projections were covered in the home states of senators who will determine whether this bill becomes law or not – and who will be held accountable at the ballot bot for their choice at this high stakes moment regardless of when they face reelection next.
