Donald Trump’s first 100 days have been a total failure — broken promises, economic chaos, and betrayal of working families. Here’s a list of 100 ways Trump has made Americans less safe, less secure, and worse off. 

  1. Right after getting into office Donald Trump purged at least a dozen inspectors general, many that he appointed during his first term. In the days that followed, it made sense why Trump wanted no one watching what he was doing.  [CBS News, 1/27/25]
  2. Just a week into Trump’s presidency, chaos over funding cuts and freezes resulted in the Medicaid payment system going down, leaving patients, doctors, and hospitals scrambling. [New York Times, 1/28/25]
  3. Donald Trump told Americans they would feel “a little pain” from his trade policy. (Narrator: It was not little.) [2/2/25]
  4. Donald Trump’s economic czar Kevin Hassett said it’s okay if Americans’ grocery bills go up because billionaires will get tax cuts. [News Nation, 2/27/25]
  5. American farmers decimated by Trump’s tariffs plead for some relief. (They didn’t get it.)  “It’s created a state of emergency for America’s farmers.” [3/18/25]
  6. Trump lowered grocery prices…just kidding. Trump signed an executive order renaming the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America.
  7. Trump’s own Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent admitted that Trump’s tariffs could cause prices to go up.  And they did. [CNN, 4/2/25]

  14. On day one, Donald Trump withdrew from the World Health Organization, undermining the US’ ability to fight future pandemics. [New York Times, 1/20/25]
  15. Donald Trump appointed RFK Jr., a vaccine denier and medical research skeptic, to lead HHS. What could go wrong?
  16. RFK Jr. downplayed recent measles deaths in Texas, claiming they weren’t a big deal.  They are the first measles casualties in the U.S. in a decade. [Youtube]
  17. Trump’s cuts to the CDC threatened child vaccine programs while HHS cut $11 billion in grants to states for vaccination drives and education.  All of this amid the measles outbreak. [Reuters, 4/23/25
  18. MaineHealth is facing cuts thanks to Trump, RFK Jr., and Susan Collins. RFK Jr., whom Susan Collins helped confirm, is now defunding medical research in Maine as punishment for previous vaccine research. [Portland Press Herald, 4/7/25]
  19. Trump tried to cut over $40 billion from HHS and made plans to eliminate rural hospital funding and Head Start. [Washington Post, 4/16/25]
  20. “It feels like they’re attacking underprivileged and vulnerable communities.”  Pennsylvania is feeling the impact of Trump’s cuts to child welfare services. [Pennsylvania Independent, 3/17/25]
  21. Trump tried to cut millions in NIH funding to universities across the U.S. and found allies like #MI07 Tom Barrett in Congress, who had no issue cutting cancer research. [Heartland Signal, 3/31/25] 
  22. Donald Trump made MASSIVE cuts to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, laying off THOUSANDS of workers in Georgia. #GAGov Brian Kemp had no problem supporting it. [Atlanta Journal-Constitution, 2/17/25]
  23. Donald Trump’s cut to NIH put the $8 billion used for cutting-edge cancer treatments and trials at risk.  One doctor described the treatments as patients’ “last hope for survival from cancer.” [CBS News, 4/3/25]

  25. A new study found that maternal mortality rates have risen by nearly 60 percent in Texas since Republicans, encouraged by Trump, passed a dangerous anti-abortion ban that now has women bleeding out in parking lots. [The GEPI, April 2025]
  26. The Trump administration proposed getting rid of the LGBTQ youth suicide hotline. [CNN. 4/25/25]
  27. 30 days into his presidency, Trump has spent $10.7 million playing golf, spending NINE of his first 30 days golfing at his property. [HuffPost, 2/18/25]
  28. Trump’s cabinet constantly showed they were billionaire donors unqualified for their positions. Linda McMahon struggled to remember what the acronyms were for the programs she was trying to defund. [Fox News, 3/11/25
  29. Donald Trump picked TV personality Dr. Oz to lead the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Oz is on record saying that no American has “the right to health.” Another solid choice from Donald.
  30. Donald Trump picked an accused sexual abuser and TV host to be Secretary of Defense. And almost all Republicans in the Senate approved him.
  31. Donald Trump picked extremist Kash Patel to lead the FBI even though Patel had a roster of foreign clients, including Shein, which has been criticized for using forced labor. [AP, 2/7/25]
  32. Donald Trump picked ANOTHER Fox News star to be Deputy Director of the FBI.  Bongino’s “qualifications”? He was committed to “owning the libs.” [Daily Mail, 2/24/25]
  33. Donald Trump’s now-confirmed Labor Secretary couldn’t answer if Americans can survive on the minimum wage that Trump supports. “Well, I don’t know if there is.” [2/19/25]
  34. Trump’s pick for Secretary of Transportation responded to a new plane crash by claiming that with “air travel” there is “a risk to the folks in the airplane.” 👀 [CNN, 2/2/25]
  35. Donald Trump picked Russell Vought, the architect of #Project2025, to run the Office of Management and Budget. [AP, 2/6/25]
  36. And Vought wasn’t the only one. Trump’s administration is chock-full of #Project2025 authors and contributors. [NBC News, 3/12/25]
  37. Donald Trump’s administration held no respect for veterans, even having one spokesperson claim that the thousands of veterans Trump laid off were just lazy.  “Perhaps they’re not fit to have a job at this moment or are not willing to come to work.” [MSNBC, 3/4/25]
  38. Trump fired and then tried to rehire hundreds of federal employees who worked on the nation’s nuclear weapons programs. Do you feel safe yet? [AP, 2/16/25]
  39. The Signal chat read around the world — Pete Hegseth shared detailed war plans with a reporter on an insecure Signal channel, endangering the lives of service members and our national security.  [The Atlantic, 3/26/25]
  40. And THEN we found out that Hegseth shared the same war plans with his brother, wife, and personal lawyer. [NBC News, 4/22/25]
  41. Trump blamed a tragic plane crash that killed dozens of people on “DEI” and “Biden.” [New York Times, 1/30/25
  42. And then Trump’s Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy doubled down on Trump’s stupidity and kept looking for anyone (but Trump) to blame for the DCA crash: Biden, “DEI,” and military generals.
  43. Amidst concerns over airplane safety, Trump’s DOGE fired over 400 workers at the FAA, some who worked on airplane safety. Make it make sense. [AP, 2/19/25] 
  44. Donald Trump invited racist conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer into the Oval Office, and after meeting with her, fired six N.S.C. officials she didn’t like.  Laura Loomer has called 9/11 an inside job. [New York Times, 4/3/25]
  45. Donald Trump’s Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth invited far-right extremist Jack Posobiec to travel with him on an official overseas trip.  [Mother Jones, 2/18/25]
  46. Trump envoy Richard Grennell spoke to Romanian officials about Andrew Tate at a security conference in Munich in February. Ten days later Tate, an accused sex trafficker and ardent Trump supporter, was back in the U.S. [BBC, 2/27/25]
  47. Trump played the part of Putin’s secretary and had an unhinged argument with President Zelenskyy in the Oval Office in front of reporters. [2/28/25]
  48. Trump spread Russian propaganda attacking Zelenskyy, even going as far as to blame Ukraine for Russia’s unprovoked attack and invasion of Ukraine’s sovereign land. [New York Times, 2/19/25]
  49. Trump has repeatedly (over FIFTY times) said he would end the war between Russia and Ukraine in “24 hours.”  Reader, he has not. [CNN, 4/25/25]
  50. The Trump administration made clear it didn’t care about the chaos his mass and indiscriminate layoffs were causing in American workers. [Bloomberg, 2/20/25]
  51. Wildfire season is right around the corner, and Donald Trump’s administration has cut 10% of the Forest Services workforce.  “When fires do break out, there will be fewer workers available to stop the spread.” [Politico, 4/23/25]
  52. “You’re fired.” Trump laid off Great Lakes scientists working to protect Michigan’s drinking water and keep shipping freighters safe. [Bridge Michigan, 2/28/25] 
  53. Week after week, Donald Trump and DOGE officials fired veterans from federal positions.
  54. Park workers at historic Valley Forge — one of our national landmarks, and a place of patriotism and national pride — have been fired by Trump for no reason.  “‘Hell, absolute chaos.”  [Pennsylvania Independent, 3/12/25]
  55. Trump not only cut 10% of Forest Service staff, he also appointed a former lumber exec (!!) as Forest Service Chief. [Politico, 2/26/25]
  56. Trump laid off thousands of federal employees, including IRS employees, during tax season. [CNN, 4/3/25]
  57. Trump spent the campaign trail talking about how much he loved miners, but he laid off federal workers in charge of protecting coal miners from black lung. [Reuters, 4/21/25
  58. Trump’s Commerce Secretary previewed Trump’s plans to cut Americans’ health care and benefits: “You know Social Security is wrong. You know Medicaid and Medicare are wrong.” [Fox News, 2/19/25]
  59. Donald Trump attempted to cut Social Security’s phone services for disabled people, which advocates claim “would make it impossible for many disabled and elderly people” to access benefits.  [Washington Post, 3/26/25
  60. Trump’s Commerce Secretary claimed that only people who would complain if their Social Security check went missing were “fraudsters.” Once again, they’re proving that the Trump administration is packed with out-of-touch billionaires who have no clue what a missing check could mean. [3/19/25]

  74. The U.S. Naval Academy removed over 400 books from the school library to align with Trump’s orders. [Washington Post, 4/2/25]
  75. Donald Trump has been VERY obsessed with Greenland. Trump wouldn’t rule out using military force to take over Greenland.  [NPR, 3/30/25]
  76. Trump has repeatedly tried to end birthright citizenship. (It’s in the Constitution.) [NPR, 1/23/25]
  77. Trump’s White House Deputy Chief of Staff has doubled down on Trump’s attack on the Constitution, calling the Fourteenth Amendment a “scam.” [Newsmax, 4/21/25
  78. Trump’s administration mistakenly deported Kilmar Abrego Garcia to El Salvador, where he was initially held in the country’s infamous maximum-security prison. Trump and his administration have refused to comply with court orders to bring him back. [CBS News, 4/25/28
  79. The Trump administration has unjustly arrested and continued to detain people legally in the United States on visas and green cards simply because of their political views. [The Guardian, 4/28/25]
