Marco Rubio has still not held a public campaign event since announcing his campaign for reelection.
He has, however, scheduled a series of high-dollar fundraisers, half of which are out of state. Rubio has already attended high-dollar fundraisers in Florida and in Washington, D.C.
Rubio’s finance director wrote donors that, “The challenge we now face is keeping people engaged during the summer.” The people the Rubio campaign is interested in keeping engaged are apparently high-dollar donors, not everyday Floridians.
Rubio went back on his promise to not seek reelection, “hates” the Senate, has one of the worst Senate attendance records, missed 68% percent of committee hearings — which started long before he was running for president, and skipped a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing to announce his re-election bid in Washington, D.C. to national press, and is now mastering the art of totally ignoring his constituents at every turn.
