It’s clear that Marco Rubio thought he could pull a fast one, scrambling a private jet to tamp down press calling him out for skipping a classified hearing on North Korea to fundraise after routinely talking tough on the matter on the campaign trail.
Unfortunately for him, he only managed to attend 20 minutes (at best) of the hearing. Here’s Rubio entering the briefing at 6:20… and here he is avoiding press on his way out at 6:40.
Shocking, maybe, but not a surprise, coming from a Senator who’s given up.
