WASHINGTON — American Bridge 21st Century President Rodell Mollineau today announced that he has hired Ty Matsdorf to serve as War Room Director and Senior Adviser. A communications veteran of several statewide campaigns and Capitol Hill offices, Matsdorf will oversee and execute American Bridge’s campaign-related and state-based communications activities.
Matsdorf comes to American Bridge from the office of Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT),where he served as Communications Director after working on his campaign. Prior to his work with Sen. Blumenthal, Matsdorf served as Communications Director for Sen. Max Baucus (D-MT).
“I’m thrilled Ty is joining American Bridge’s already strong communications team,” Mollineau said. “Having worked with him in the Senate, I know he has the skills, experience and strategic instincts to lead our campaign communications efforts”
“If I was a Republican running for office, Ty would be the last person I’d want managing a war room against me.” Mollineau added.
Matsdorf joins an all-star senior staff, which includes Campaign Director Bradley Beychok and Research Director & Senior Adviser Shauna Daly.
American Bridge 21st Century, a Super PAC founded by David Brock, was founded in 2011 to become a permanent piece of the progressive infrastructure. American Bridge will bolster the efforts of new Democratic independent expenditure groups by providing hard-hitting opposition research, tracking footage, and instant response operations.
