Schweikert already has one of the worst ethics records in Congress — and now he’s siding with Trump to dismantle Social Security, health care, and food assistance while families in Arizona struggle to make ends meet.
- Schweikert was found guilty of 11 House ethics violations in 2020, including misuse of taxpayer funds, improper use of staff, and failure to follow ethics rules.
- Then the FEC fined his campaign $125,000 for repeated campaign finance violations. The House Ethics Committee formally reprimanded him and fined him $50,000.
- Now, Schweikert is backing Trump’s efforts to reward billionaires and cut critical services for seniors, veterans, and working families.
“David Schweikert has already been caught abusing his office for personal gain — and now he’s helping Trump dismantle the services Arizona families rely on,” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Nico Delago. “He’s not just complicit in Trump’s corruption; he’s part of it. And voters won’t forget it.”
