NEW AD: Kevin Nicholson Profited While Wisconsinites Lost Their Jobs

Jul 23, 2018

Today, American Bridge released a new ad holding wealthy businessman Kevin Nicholson accountable for his consulting work for companies that killed and outsourced American jobs.

The one-minute ad, “Profited,” tells the story of the Brillion Iron Works, the mainstay of the small community of Brillion near Green Bay, Wisconsin, which was shut down by Kevin Nicholson’s client, private equity firm American Securities. Nicholson got rich working for companies like American Securities, while the town of Brillion lost 345 iron jobs. The ad will run on social media statewide in Wisconsin.

The AP reports that “companies that Republican U.S. Senate candidate Kevin Nicholson worked for as a consultant laid off nearly 1,900 people since 2015, shutting down plants in Wisconsin and across the country.”

“It’s no wonder Kevin Nicholson worked so hard to obscure the details of his business career: he profited as a consultant for companies that killed American jobs,” said American Bridge spokesperson Amelia Penniman.“While Nicholson got rich, Wisconsinites got laid off.”
