Today, co-chair of American Bridge Governor Steve Bullock joined Julie Mason Mornings to talk about the Biden administration and policies impacting rural voters.
Governor Bullock focused on the bipartisan infrastructure law which prioritizes “delivering affordable, high-speed internet, safe roads and bridges, modern wastewater systems, clean drinking water, reliable and affordable electricity, and good paying jobs in every rural community.”
“You already see around the country these Republicans showing up for the ribbon cuttings, even though they voted against the damn bill,” said Co-Chair of American Bridge 21st Century Governor Steve Bullock. “So it’ll take a little while because it takes a while for these projects to get going. But once they are, they’re full of good paying jobs and the good of making a difference in communities. So what we have to do, what Democrats have to do, is remind them time and time again – remind people like, look, these are done in spite of not because these Republican politicians want to show up at the ribbon cuttings. Those folks weren’t even on, you know, at the table willing to say we need these investments.”
