High Tax Jack is Back

Oct 08, 2025

Tonight is the final debate in the New Jersey gubernatorial debate, which means it’s Jack Ciattarelli’s last chance to explain to voters why he’s dead-set on raising their taxes, cutting their health care, and destroying their chances at an affordable life.

“It’s crazy that wanting to ban cursinghating on Bruce Springsteen, and being pro-snitching are not even close to Jack Ciattarelli’s most out-of-touch positions. For rich guys like Jack Ciattarelli and Donald Trump, a 10% tax on top of already crushing tariffs and inflation is no big deal, but it would be a huge deal to New Jerseyans,” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Monica Venzke. “Jack knows that, he just doesn’t care. These Jack-ed up prices only benefit millionaires like him, and that’s who he is really fighting for in this election.”

As a reminder, Jack Ciattarelli:

  • Said that “every option is on the table,” including an extra 10% sales tax.
  • Touts his Trump endorsement claiming he’s gone “all in” on MAGA.
  • Supported Trump’s tariffs, calling them a “grand experiment” — but knew they’d be harmful, saying New Jerseyans need to “buckle up.”
  • Wants a DOGE-style commission to crack down on New Jersey Medicaid recipients.
  • Called for repealing the Affordable Care Act.
  • Wanted to trim down benefits for New Jersey teachers, including a reduction in Medicare benefits.
  • Had a company that was paid $12.2 million to publish content that downplayed the risks of opioid abuse using pharmaceutical industry-funded grants.
  • Still defends Donald Trump, even after denying New Jerseyans relief funding and critical transportation money.
  • Voted against Hurricane Sandy relief.
  • Supports school vouchers, which skyrocket property taxes and hurt public education.
