Barletta and Kelly Will Still Have to Answer for AHCA

Jul 18, 2017

The effort to repeal the Affordable Care Act — resulting in worse health care for hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians — might be collapsing in Congress, but back home in Pennsylvania, Republicans hoping to run for U.S. Senate won’t be able to escape their record.

“Whether it’s Trumpcare or repealing the Affordable Care Act without a replacement, Lou Barletta and Mike Kelly are stuck with their cruel plan to take away health care from millions — like gum stuck to a shoe,” said American Bridge spokesperson Allison Teixeira Sulier.“Despite  the health care bill’s collapse in the Senate, they voted for it in the House, and championed numerous disastrous ACA repeal bills that all rip away coverage from Americans who desperately need it, and Pennsylvania voters will hold them responsible.”

Both Lou Barletta and Mike Kelly voted for ACHA in the House, and have repeatedly voted for ACA repeals.
