American Bridge President Jessica Mackler released the following statement on Trump’s bigoted ban of transgender Americans from serving in the military:
“Donald Trump is a disgrace to our country and everything we stand for as Americans. This bigoted ban on transgender individuals serving in our military is just the latest example. Every American should speak out against this ban immediately, and Congress should act in any way possible to overturn this reckless policy. If they don’t, history will remember them for being complicit in Trump’s latest attack on freedom, equality, and fairness.”
