American Bridge President Jessica Mackler issued the following statement on Donald Trump’s Muslim ban announced this afternoon through executive order:
“It’s a sad day for our country when our president tries to turn hate and bigotry into policy, no matter the details. Banning people from the U.S. based on their religion is not only at odds with the very principles on which our country was founded but will only embolden our enemies. Donald Trump’s foreign policy is downright dangerous and will have dire consequences.”
