Today, on the 51st anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision — which has since been overturned by Donald Trump’s handpicked Supreme Court justices — American Bridge 21st Century Co-Chair Cecile Richards released the following statement:
“This is a day when we should be celebrating a landmark Supreme Court decision that enabled generations of Americans to finish school, pursue careers, and provide for themselves and their families. Instead, after nearly 50 years of precedent, this right was stripped away from us, and millions of people are living with the aftermath.
“The Republican Party is hell-bent on banning abortion nationwide — and Donald Trump has pledged to support a federal abortion ban and ‘fight’ for his anti-abortion allies if given a second term. There is no more important work to be done between now and November than defeating Donald Trump and re-electing President Biden and Vice President Harris — for ourselves, for our children, and for generations to come.”

Repro-files.com serves as a vital resource for allies in the fight to protect abortion access and reproductive health care by exposing anti-choice candidates and holding them accountable at the ballot box. It houses opposition research on anti-choice presidential, U.S. Senate, gubernatorial, and attorney general targets, as well as research on down-ballot candidates in states where abortion rights are most at risk. Much of the tracking footage was obtained by American Bridge-affiliated trackers, who have been working to get candidates on the record on their anti-abortion views since even before Roe was overturned.
