While Georgia GOP Senate candidates tear each other apart trying to prove who’s the most MAGA, families and workers across the state are living with the damage they’ve all proudly supported. Georgians are losing health care, jobs, and critical services.
Here’s what Collins, Carter, and Dooley helped slash:
- $2.29 billion slashed from health care, putting over 750,000 Georgians at risk of losing coverage.
- $815 million ripped away from public schools, housing and mental health.
- $69 billion slashed from food assistance hurting 382,000 Georgians. Georgia would have to pay $487 million every year to fund the program or cut it.
- 600 jobs cut at the CDC Atlanta office.
Instead of fighting for Georgians to keep their health care and jobs, Collins, Carter, and Dooley cheered:
- Carter bragged about writing the cuts: “I was chair of the Health Subcommittee of Energy & Commerce that crafted the majority of the cut- of the savings…”
- Carter praised DOGE cuts that have hurt Georgians in an op-ed on X.
- Collins celebrated CDC firings while Georgians lost their jobs.
- Collins defended health care cuts in the OBBB with lies and downplayed its impact on rural hospitals.
- Dooley is in full support of the cuts: “I support every bit of what DOGE intention was.”
“These guys might be fighting each other in a primary, but they can all agree on one thing – they’re all in on cruel cuts that hurt Georgia families,” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Nico Delgado. “They’d rather rip health care away and jobs from their own constituents than say no to Trump and his billionaire friends.”
