JD Vance will be in Georgia to tout Trump’s “Big Ugly” law – an unpopular and damaging plan that guts health insurance and food assistance for working families while handing billions in tax breaks to the ultra-rich.
No matter how they try to rebrand it, the Big Ugly Law is a political loser – and JD Vance is only amplifying the political pain for Georgia Republicans. Polling shows a majority of Georgians oppose the Big Ugly Law – especially after learning it would cut critical health care, raise costs, and hurt kids, seniors, and rural communities. Every time Vance shows up, he reminds voters that Georgia GOP Senate candidates Buddy Carter, Mike Collins, and Derek Dooley all support this disastrous law.
Across the state, voters are already protesting the law and calling out Carter and Collins for their support. With Dooley also embracing the plan, all three GOP Senate hopefuls have tied themselves to a toxic agenda – one that will define them at the ballot box.
“JD Vance isn’t helping Georgia Republicans – he’s reminding voters that the entire GOP Senate field is all-in on cutting health care to fund tax breaks for billionaires,” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Nico Delgado. “Voters won’t forget who sided with Trump and Vance instead of Georgia families.”
