Buddy Carter has made it crystal clear: he’s not fighting for working Georgians – he’s fighting for billionaires, Big Pharma, and Donald Trump. Since the NRSC failed to get their top recruit, and with Buddy Carter’s announcement and more candidates expected to jump in, Georgia Republicans are headed for a bloody primary.
While Georgia families face rising costs, Carter has proudly backed Trump’s reckless tariff policies – fueling an economic trade war that’s killing jobs, driving up prices, and throwing family businesses into chaos. Worse, he voted to strip Congress of the power to stop it.
In addition to wrecking the economy for working people, Buddy Carter wants to take away their health care too. He said he was “very proud” of voting to slash Medicaid and CHIP – a move that would affect coverage for over two million Georgians. At a time when families are already struggling with rising costs and limited access to care, Carter is pushing policies that hurt Georgia the most.
“Whether he’s voting to rip health care away from two million Georgians or cheerleading Trump’s job-killing tariffs, Carter is proudly failing the people he’s supposed to represent.” said American Bridge 21st Century spokesperson Nico Delgado. “With their top recruit out, the Georgia GOP is headed for a bloody primary. Buddy Carter’s record isn’t just bad – it’s dangerous. From gutting health care and hurting the economy to siding with opioid companies and threatening seniors’ benefits, Carter has proven over and over that he’s the wrong choice for Georgia.”
