“Trump and the elite Republicans in Congress, their entire ideology is based around protecting abusers, protecting child molesters, protecting anybody they see as powerful.”
Today, American Bridge 21st Century President Pat Dennis joined SiriusXM’s Julie Mason Show to discuss the news around the Epstein files — and the longstanding Republican habit of protecting powerful pedophiles and abusers of children.
Why? Because elite Republicans like Donald Trump and Matt Gaetz look out for each other. Powerful people protect powerful people, and that includes private jet tax cuts for billionaires and elected pedophiles.
Regular people? Families? Veterans? They pay for it all with health care cuts and cuts to veterans’ hospitals.

The list of powerful Republican politicians who prey on children and were protected by their party is long, but includes:
- Jeffrey Epstein was recruiting underage girls to traffic at Mar-a-Lago.
- Donald Trump joked, on the record, about how Jeff loved young girls and that they had been friends for 15 years.
- Trump also gave a cabinet position to Alex Acosta, the prosecutor who kept Epstein out of jail.
- Trump and Republicans endorsed Roy Moore for Senate, knowing that he preyed on underage children.
- Jim Jordan is the chair of the House Judiciary Committee, despite having turned a blind eye to the sexual abuse of students at Ohio State.
- Dennis Hastert, who was the Republican Speaker of the House, first covered up Mark Foley‘s abuse of young congressional pages, but then it turned out Hastert himself was a child molester.
- Donald Trump tried to make Matt Gaetz the Attorney General of the United States despite a House ethics investigation for preying on children in Florida.
